UEFA expers praise Lviv

Euro-2012 department of the Lviv city council received the protocol of expert assessment of the city hotels that stated the UEFA experts' satisfaction with the preparation for the European football championship in 2012, the city council press service informs.

During the inspection each hotel submitted to UEFA experts the project that included the amount and cost of works that were being done or planned to be done during the preparation.

Based on the number of existing and planned three-star hotels in the city, the experts concluded that this number would be enough to accommodate the visitors of the championship.

There are no four-star hotels in Lviv yet but there are two of this class in two hours drive from the city. In addition a four-star hotel is planned to be built on Fedorova Street in the centre of the city. The project of this hotel is currently under development.

Three existing hotels will reach the five-star category after the reconstruction, two more will be built on Fredera Street. and Osmomysl Square. Total number of the hotels being currently built in Lviv is 11. Seven land spots are allocated for hotel building and nine more are planned to be allocated.
