Denys Kulakov: I dreamed about crutches and plaster |
Training camp in Turkey ended earlier for Vorskla midfielder Denys Kulakov than for his teammates. The midfielder got the injury that he had thought about and that doctors had predicted to him.
In the match against Metallurg-Kuzbass Denys went for the ball unsuccessfully and cracked a bone. He received plaster cast and crutches in a Turkey hospital and flew home on Monday.
- Denys, how are you feeling?
- It could be worse, it's just a crack and not a fracture. On the other hand, the time is just not right as the season is about to restart.
- I believe you've been having problems with this injury for some time?
- Yes, my leg hurt but I tried to train and not to pay attention. The workloads during the training camp had an impact obviously. You know, I was worried about that all the time. I couldn't get asleep until 2 AM and then dreamed about plaster and crutches. I had to recover from my previous injury longer. Some doctors advised me to wait for three or four weeks more, although others said to train despite the pain. Now I will have to rest. I am going to Donetsk to consult with Shakhtar doctor Artur Hluschenko.
- Do you know how much time it will take to recover?
- I have to wear plaster for three or four weeks, then I'll try to recover as soon as possible. I hope that in April I will be able to play for Vorskla again.
